Special Australian edition of the Huddle Online

By: Newsroom Staff on 04 Jul, 2011 13:03

IT’S been just over a month since the final whistle sounded on our Scottish Cup final triumph, but after one of the shortest summer breaks ever, the Huddle Online returns to Channel 67 with all the news from Celtic’s training base in Australia.

We (Free bet) Kick-off the first of our pre-season specials on Channel 67 tonight (Monday, July 4) with all the latest news from pre-season training in Oz, including exclusive match highlights from the opening friendly against Central Coast Mariners.

We also hear from Gary Hooper at one of the club’s open training sessions, where he talks of his targets for the season, gives his view of pre-season training and  the opening run of matches and also speaks about the club’s extraordinary support.

“I couldn’t believe it to be honest,” explains Gary. “We came out of the airport and there were hundreds of fans waiting for us there as well.

“It’s incredible, coming all this way and seeing so many Celtic supporters – and their support means so much to us.”

While hearing from Mark Henderson and Tony Hamilton in a report from training, we also have a special ‘correspondent’ on board today. John Clark is the man putting the questions to his fellow Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace, in a special interview.

And we also have a date with Rambo on his recent return to Celtic Park, with Alan McInally giving his thoughts on the season ahead and talking about his Celtic memories.

The Huddle Online will be shown every Monday and Friday during pre-season, before returning, every week night – as normal, from Monday, July 25.
